Application and test method
The pins of the plug shall enter the go side of the gauge freely and seat fully. The plug shall not enter the no-go side. The check is repeated after the tests of Clause 12, Clause 20 and Clause 22, where compliance with Figure 5 is required.

Handling and maintenance
Remove oil and swarf from the working faces before use. Verify periodically with a reference plug so that go / no-go decisions stay reliable.
