Application and test method
Insert the gauge into the socket-outlet and connect per Figure 13. A 40 V test supply is applied between the socket contacts and the gauge; the indicator lamps show whether each pole makes contact. All three poles shall indicate contact with the pins fully inserted.

Handling and maintenance
Check the wiring of the test circuit and the lamps before testing. Contamination on the gauge pins changes the result, so clean them after every use.
