Garden Tool Arm Probe Set SC-50636K6 – EN 50636-2-100 Figure 1 & Figure 2 + ISO 5395-3:2013 Figure B.4 (6 pcs)
SC-50636K6 is a six-piece arm probe set covering every arm probe size used in power garden tool and lawnmower safety testing. It contains two EN 50636-2-100 Figure 1 young adult arm probes, two Figure 2 adult arm probes and two ISO 5395-3:2013 Figure B.4 ball-nose probes, supplied in a dedicated carrying case.
Each size is machined to its own standard figure and they are not interchangeable. The Figure 1 young adult arm is the shortest and thinnest and represents a child / young person reach; the Figure 2 adult arm has a 90° bent tip, a pivoting knuckle and a Ø60 stop disc; the Figure B.4 probe is a ball-nose type with Ø12 tip, Ø20 / Ø28 stepped body, Ø50 stop disc and 180 mm insertion depth. Two pieces of each size allow parallel testing or keep a spare on hand.

Test procedure
- Select the size for the hazard being assessed: Figure 1 for child / young person reach, Figure 2 for adult reach in garden tool feed openings, Figure B.4 for lawnmower cutting-means guarding.
- Insert the probe into the opening and push along the path until the stop disc is reached.
- Apply the specified force; rotate the knuckle or vary the approach angle to cover the reachable envelope.
- Contact with blades or other hazardous moving parts means the guarding fails.
